[Video] "Who Am I?" - E.L.P.J.

Eric started rhyming around the age of 9 or 10 and in 2011, at the age of 14, self-released his first free mixtape, Visions In Blue, with Carolinian beat maker J Blacco creating most of the beats for the project. From rap reminiscent songs like "The Return", to philosophical cuts like "Illusions”, and introspective songs like "Joy & Pain", everyone can find something in this mixtape they can relate to. The title track, “Visions in Blue”, has become a staple E.L.P.J. song and usually starts off most of his sets. From there he started building his buzz with enumerable performances throughout the DMV area, and as he progressed he performed in Philly, Durham, New York City and even Sweden. In the summer of 2013, he put out his second mixtape, Verbal Technique Vol. 1. With this project, he sets out to drop knowledge, show off his lyrical muscles via complex braggadocio raps, touch on themes of artistic integrity and world politics, and reintroduce himself to a new found audience he gained from his performances around the area. Though spitting mostly over other artists' instrumentals (sans two flaming tracks from constant collaborator, J Blacco), E makes sure to make every song his own with dope rhymes and impeccable flow. He's released various singles like “Pump Up The Volume”, “When I Be On Tha Mic” and “Straight Spittin’”, but it was "DMV, Right On Time", an anthem dedicated to his region rapped over the Canei Finch produced banger, which featured on many blogs including Kevin Nottingham (dot-com).

The Artist who asked his Listeners "Who the fuck are you" on his video "Sunshine" is back to answer that question himself. The DMV's young spitter and 2016 Howard University's Hottest Emcee E.L.P.J. shows his new introspective visuals for "Who Am I?!" off his EP Canei Kick It?!. Journey with E as he revisits his past to gain Inspiration to finish this song. Through video and pictures of people & events he gains the artistic momentum to hit the studio and finish the track. The video, shot by SKIES THE LIMIT Entertainment (doublea1k@gmail.com) gives the viewer a glimpse into E.L.P.J.'s artistic process and who he is as a artist. The second video from the "Canei Kick It?!" EP is another Great example of why many are finding out E.L.P.J. is Dope!
