The name Prowess was a marker of exemplary skill and bravery in battle, the quintessence of delivering eloquent prose with elegance and ease. Prowess’s specialty of crafting lush imagery articulating a raw yet honest critique as a credo led to the suffix, the Testament. She has been featured on albums with such artists as MF DOOM and Aloe Blacc. Prowess took hiatus in late 2008 to pursue alternative artistic ventures and to work in sub-Saharan Africa on a research grant from The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation integrating arts and music in health with narrative writing and storytelling.

On, Air.Human | Breath.Divine, Prowess invites the listener to saunter through a collection of stories, reflections, and daydreams exploring principles that make us both human and divine—articulating concepts steeped in faith, science, and folklore, all underscored by nostalgic boom-bap soundscapes.
