The definition of Motif, according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, is a usually recurring salient thematic element (as in the arts). Greg Grease sticks to this with a theme of realistic and vivid lyricism in his Motif ii EP. Hailing from the South side of Minneapolis, Greg tells stories of hustle, murder and life on the streets in his city. The project was produced by M¥K, who brings distinct, cool and dark vibes to the EP. Greg Grease dropped the first Motif which is equally as good as part two. I really like refreshing music from all over the country, so it feels good to show Minnesota love.
