If you haven't been paying attention, Uptown, New York City has had the hip-hop scene on lock for the last few months. From Harlem to the Bronx, once you hit 96th St, expect to hear fire music. Slayter is next up to bat and he already has a few home runs in my opinion. I first heard of Slayter on DonMonique's Thirst Trap that dropped last summer. I liked what I heard and kept on the look out for the NYC representative. His latest release, 20 Missed Calls has him spitting with confidence over a smooth beat by Harlem's Own: Crystal Caines. Slayter has worked with V DON and Thelonius Martin, who to me, are the best upcoming producers out right now. Don't sleep on Uptown, you may end up in Slayter's call log.
