Making his debut on Upcoming Hip Hop, Zavey brings the bars with his new project. The Houston rapper has made a name for himself locally as one of the more talented lyricists in the area and GEMS proves just that. His bars includes a healthy dose of rhymes, wordplay, and metaphors. Something I always look for in upcoming artists. The project doesn't produce too many features ($tunt DeGrate, The Prodeuser, Big Goony, D-Ray, C Dot Bush, Vic D & One Hunnidt) but solid choices nonetheless. The full-length release varies in subject matter, proving Zavery as a well rounded artist. Everyone knows I am a sucker for storytelling so those tracks are obviously my favorite.
