Queens representer Monstarr Davee released his debut EP entitled The Rising Son. The futuristic production of "All around the city" sets the tone for the project and displays a dope flow and dope beat used as a backdrop for a great song. An introduction track so to speak on the kind of artist Monstarr Davee is, the Queens rapper talks about the places he's been and the buzz he's generated from his handwork and dedication to his craft. On the song "Dis Foreal" (I love the tracks that the guys throw out there for the ladies) Monstarr Davee talks about a woman he's smitten by. The closing track "Don't hold back" opens up with "It's hard to awake and see your life for what it is..." a bit of a reflective track and hands down the best song on the whole EP Monstarr Davee talks about where he's headed, the struggles he's endured and the pain he has experienced throughout his life. Clever wordplay & dope delivery Monstarr Davee is on his way to being something great.
