Long Beach, New York. This area has given birth to one of the most influential MCs of all time: MF DOOM. The town in Long Island is only steps outside of the borough of Queens and less than an hour away from Manhattan, so that real-NYC heartfelt music is felt on that side of LI. No wonder the area is paving the way for another dope hip hop artist: Don Cash.

Working After Work is an EP dedicated to all the hustlers, hard workers and nine-to-fivers. Don Cash has that cool stoner rap but talks about the struggle all us dreamers go through in life. The production is so jazzy, which is really what I look for when deciding what to listen to. As long as Don Cash keeps putting out EPs like this, you will hear more buzz from the Long Beach-bred lyricist.
