I first met Micki Moore at a producer showcase on the Lower East Side in New York City earlier in April. I was instantly impressed by by her beat selection. I was definitely bobbin' my head the entire time. After she left stage, I gave her my business card and a few words of respect. Now I bring you a short interview.

Tell us a bit about yourself. Why did you start producing?

I am 22 years old from Lindenwold, New Jersey. I was always into music unknowingly until 7th grade. my dad was a musician growing up who played in a rock band, that's how I became interested in music. The production aspect came from my uncle, he used to make beats and I thought it was cool so instead of wanting to be a DJ, I started producing.

What software to do you use to create beats?

I currently use Logic Pro X.

Who are your top 3 favorite producers right now?

My Top producers are 40, Boi1da and PartyNextDoor, I'm really into the ovo sound.

If you could work with any artist, who would it be and why?

I would really like to work with Drake, he made his own lane in the industry that a lot of people love and love to hate.

Do you think producers are undervalued in the music industry?

Producers are definitely becoming valued just as much as artist. More people are starting to know who certain producers are even when they don't use tags in their songs.
