Top 3 tracks: "Lessons" "MS The Klan" "Rappin' Just Because"
Two brothers from Baltimore (Nightmare & Android No. 23) come with their joint project: Brotherhood Part One. On the intro, one of the rappers says, "I love you if you listen." Well.... I hope I still get the love after I give some positive feedback!

This mixtape starts off with a very familiar sample, 'Silver Soul' by Beach House. You'll hear the song sampled in 'Money Trees' by Kendrick Lamar. As an intro, 'Calculated Confidence' is a short song with a quick verse. Personally, I feel there are way too many drum sounds layered on the sample. It ultimately made me want to hear Kendricks' song. Not sure what rapper Nightmare wanted to convey to the listener on this first track. On the second song, Nightmare and Android No. 23 go back and forth with the verses. 'MS The Klan' has a cool beat and both rappers catch a cool flow here and there. This could've been a banger if there was a definite chorus and some cleaner drums. Lyrics are real dope, though. The third track, 'Rappin Just Because', is the coolest song on the project. The beat, flows, and lyrics are all on point. It makes the listener feel like they're in a live rap cypher. The best lyrics are heard on the fourth song 'Lessons.' A cool chorus and a funky beat. The last track is just a loop of the sample used on the intro with one MC inspiring you with some final words.
All in all, this is a cool project. I feel the entire Mild-Sobriety crew has to carefully sharpen their sound. It seems that as a collective, these rappers and producers pretty much know where they want to go with their sound. My advice: record, record, and record some more. Try your hardest to perfect your songs. Try not to be repetitive with the flows and the instruments. Hopefully we hear more precise flows and hard hitting lyrics from both artists next time! Take a listen and let us know if you like this mixtape.
