Given the opportunity to tour with Bone Thugs N Harmony and record with Gucci Mane after being released from rehab and picking up a journey in Hip-Hop. Detroit-born and Los Angeles-based artist, Chris Jones who goes by the stage name Jonezen, is poised to be one of those influential artists.

From his debut, award-winning release Live From Rehab, which he wrote and recorded while in treatment, to his new single “Bars”, which speaks honestly about the lack of respect for real lyricism in hip-hop, he’s spitting truth at every given chance. “Bars”, a Brian Bolen produced track, has an undeniable anthemic feel with alternative rock sound that provides an aggressive musical base for the melee of Jonezen’s verses. An attack on mumble rap, on music without substance, on the laziness of emcees these days, Jonezen is calling it out and joining the ranks of artists bringing meaning back into the music.
