To Whom It May Concern 2: Final Draft by Jamal G is a picture of hope. Not only does it describe the mind of an emotionally suppressed man, it describes the millennial generation. The Maryland hip hop artist tells his story throughout the 14-track album. He wants you to know that hope is better than defeat and with faith anything is possible. Growing up, Jamal never felt any inkling to conform to the norm. Using his siblings and loved one's as tools to gauge his outlook on society, Jamal cultivated a perspective that's widely shared through his community. I could talk about the success of his first project and how he opened up for major artists but I will stick to the music because that is always what it has been about. Jamal G is treating To Whom it May Concern 2: Final Draft as his debut album which was released on January 25, 2016 on all major outlets. It is a solid album all the way through. The intro track "Scatterbrained" is one of my favorite on the project. I think starting strong is very important for indie artists because they don't get too many looks. I also love that he is making music for the right reasons. He explains it here: "I've never attempted to make music for self exemplification or popularity. Music is the most unselfish thing that I can offer to my people as a glimmer of some sort of hope. There's pain, triumph, and faith all wrapped up in this new project, I just my generation take the time to live with it, so it can properly effect our lives."
