You know I had to show some West-Coast love out here, right? There are tons of incredible emerging artist coming out of the California, but one in particular, Hersoul, is an artist coming out of the Bay Area set to take the stage with her debut project HerTape which is slated for release in April.
Hersoul is back once again with her single release and fan favorite song entitled, "Got Me". From charming pop-culture references to sensual undertones, "Got Me” is definitely one for the people and speaks to their own personal interpretation of what it means for someone to have them “fu**ed up”. The song speaks to the sentiment of mistreatment within everyday situations and contexts. This sentiment also speaks to her feelings with issues regarding institutionalized racism, sexism, and other forms of oppression--all of these feelings blended into one declarative statement.
