New York City-based artist, KOTA, just released the video for "Customs" and it is high quality. The video starts out with KOTA on the train in 2010 and flashes to present-day Brooklyn where he is riding through Brooklyn in a taxi. The video then flicks from scene to scene showing KOTA being a normal artist based in the Big Apple; making beats, writing rhymes, waiting for the train, smoking on the streets, drinking on rooftops, missing the bus, and constantly working. My favorite part about all of this is the actual track though. The self-produced beat is smooth and puts me in a peaceful place. He does a great job storytelling throughout the track with his honest lyrics. KOTA doesn't follow any trends either. His delivery and flows are unique which the music industry desperately needs. I'm very excited to see what is next from this young emcee.
