Hero submitted his track "Mama Rich" to us and we were instantly impressed. The beat is hard and the hook is catchy. As the titled suggests, Hero is trying to make it in the rap game so he can support is mom or as he puts it "make my mama rich." Presented by Designer Boyz and directed by Nimi Hendrix, Hero shows us what he does when he says he is "young and hustlin'." We recently asked him a few questions about him and his video.

Start off by telling us who you are & where you’re from.
I'm HeroGawd and I'm a Jersey Kid. Jersey City, NJ Born and Raised.
What/who are you biggest influences?
My influences come from everything that goes on around me. Musically, I've been influenced by Pac. I love how he spoke on all topics. You could feel his passion through the music. Of late I've been rocking with Drake, K Camp, and Ty Dolla Sign.
When did you first discover your passion for hip-hop?
I fell in love with music at the age of 12. That's also when I wrote my first verse.
When did you fall in love with music?
Jay-Z's BluePrint Album. That album is a classic. Every record was dope from the lyrics to the production even the sequenced was straight. You could just let it play.
If you could have the chance to work with any artist living or dead, who would you choose and why?
Max B and Erykah Badu. I love the way Max B put his hooks together and Erykah Badu is just so soulful. I love her records.
What was the most fun part of creating this track/video?
The concept of the record is just real to most people. The first person most people want to take care of is their mother. Once I did the record and released it the love I got from the people was amazing. They got it. This whole process has been fun.
