Interviewed by Ben Z @WI608
Fanetic recently dropped the latest visual from his EP, Pyramids On Mars. Through the track he questions reality here on earth, and even ponders leaving earth on the notion that life may possibly be better on other planets. Be sure to read our interview with him and check out “The Red Planet.”

Start off by telling us who you are & where you’re from.
The name is Fanetic. I hail from the Chicago area.
When did you first discover your passion for hip-hop?
I first discovered my passion for hip-hop when I heard Illmatic for the first time.
What/who are you biggest influences?
Obviously Nas... then there's Outkast, Tribe, & 2pac.
If you could have the chance to work with any artist living or dead, who would you choose and why?
I would want to work with Bob Marley. He wasn't really an artist. He was more like a messenger. I could hear his passion and love for his people through his music. The guy was truly special.
What do you hope to accomplish through your music/career?
I want to save some lives with my music — like music did with me. You never know who's listening.
Tell us about "The Red Planet" & what the track means to you.
I was working a job. I wasn't too fond of downtown. I felt trapped and everyday felt the same. I wanted to know what my purpose was. It's just about searching for the answers.
Who did the video work and why did you pick them?
My guy by the name of Justin D Marnez worked on the visual. I chose him because he was excited about the track and I respected his vision. He brought it to life.
Lastly, describe Fanetic in just three words.
Honorable, Resilient, Curious.
