Before I get into the song writeup, let me start by saying how great of a performer D. Green is. We featured him in our most recent Upcoming Hip Hop showcase and he blew me away. He looked so comfortable on stage and walked across it like he owned it. He also articulated his words so that the crowd could hear them live which I don't see often in the upcoming scene. I'm pretty sure he started his set with "Get 'Em Up" which was a smart move because it is a high energy track with a lot of bars. D. Green flows over this instrumental like a professional. I love the addition of a real drum track. And let's talk about how dope the this video is. The direction was well thought-out and the execution was perfect. I enjoyed all of the scenes and camera shots. Great all around.
