Before I sat down to type up this writeup, I listened to Taiyamo's album front to back. So I am here to tell you that; if you are anti-mainstream and anti-trendy rap songs then Taiyamo Denku‘s latest project If I Did An Album With Nick Wiz is for you. The 10-track album, presented by CyphaDenMusic, features a handful of artists and DJs including Dcypha, Urban Legend , Maximus Da Mantis, The Genius, Mina Fedora, and DJ Richard Grieco Suave. This album is HIP-HOP. I say that because it has everything from classic hip-hop instrumentals (from New Jersey producer Nick Wiz) to the stories told by emcees to ill DJ scratching. If I had to pick my favorite track on the album, I would say "Same Old Shit". I am proud that his came out of my home state of Wisconsin. I'm always on the lookout for upcoming talent from their because it is my home. I know it's early in the year but I think If I Did An Album With Nick Wiz could be one of the best hip-hop albums coming out of Wisconsin this year. The quality and talent are both there. I'm really glad this album landed in my inbox because I always see people say that "hip-hop is dead" and this album proves them wrong.
