Growing up in a place where nothing “cool” happens unless you make it happen forces you to develop a certain kind of drive. Raised under a NO BULLSHIT immigrant father and hippie mother who allowed their son to freely bump Poison Clan and Circle Jerks at a very early age. With an older brother who taught him to love BASS Music, and a neighbor who taught him to skate, fight, and make bombs, Bleubird raps from an interesting perspective. He caught the tail end of the “Indie Rap” wave and managed to ride it throughout the world until it crash-landed him back home in South Florida where he was happy to embrace his roots and welcome the maddening sun blotto. Mike Patton once called him stupid and one time, in a cab in Zagreb, Kevin Martin told him he cusses WAY TOO FUCKING MUCH. He neither looks nor acts his age, it is impossible to put him in a box or keep him standing still for more than a moment, and his vast catalog of diverse music speaks for itself.
Following tours opening for the likes of Astronautalis, Sage Francis, and Doomtree, the Fake Four duo of Ceschi and Bleubird is coming to Europe together for the first time. Kicking off July 1st in Bremen and wrapping up in Bleubird's former home of Berlin, Ceschi and Bird will be rocking shows in the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Germany, including a stop at Fusion Festival in Lärz.
It's been a nonstop tour for the Connecticut-based rapper/ singer/ multi-instrumentalist Ceschi Ramos since the release of Broken Bone Ballads, his critically acclaimed 2015 collaboration with Canadian producer Factor Chandelier. The album is simultaneously Ceschi’s most personal effort to date and a collection of stories and sketches that parallel the broader concepts of human suffering, failure, uncertainty, and perseverance. Broken Bone Ballads was followed up by a split 12" acoustic album with Pat The Bunny and an endless string of shows at dive bars, DIY venues, and festivals. His July dates with Bleubird mark Ceschi's third European tour of 2016.
After time living in Montreal and Berlin, Bleubird returned to his home of Florida to record Lauderdale, an album that found Bird embracing his southern roots over banging production by Mister Belvedere. Lauderdale is seen by many as the most accessible album of Bleubird's 15-year rap career, showcasing his passion, humor, and technical precision. He's been on the road grinding ever since its release, bringing his high-octane live performance to crowds from Brooklyn to Prague.
Ceschi and Bleubird are two fearless performers with a penchant for captivating international audiences with powerful, theatrical live shows, and their first joint European tour is not to be missed.
