This is for the 9-5 workers. The "up at 6am then back home at midnight to do it again" workers. This is for the big dreamers and the part-time hustlers. This is for the curbside kings and the single cigarette buyers. This is for the ones who daydreamed about a better life for themselves and wondered if it would ever come. Indigo, a rapper from Washington Heights, comes to us an an average every man's man--one who knows how to rap about the hardship's of life, the ones which often times stop us from reaching our full potential. Shot and edited by Breeze Embalm the video for "Follow Your Heart."
The rapper debuted his first EP In My Eyes back in July of 2014. Through the employment of classic boom-bap styled beats along with jazz roots, Indigo steps aside from the mainstream hype by delivering something authentic that could be felt from ear to the heart and soul. This video, shot and edited by Breeze Embalm (@breezeembalm), was one of the first visuals to be released for the project. An accurate portrayal of what goes on during the artist's life (part of this video was shot at his work place) and what he does; against all odds, to attain his goals. Take a journey with the kid and check out his work on SoundCloud.
