Hopsin definitely took a page from Tech N9ne in terms of his eclectic style, but the Southern California native makes his message about the state of capitalism extraordinary clear and poignant: "Let me enlighten you my n*ggas, just let your brain drift: First of all, the best type of marketing is marketing that doesn't feel like marketing, it makes the people feel like they're apart of it". A message which would initially sound preachy to an audience, Hopsin sits at the podium and delivers a humbling, but necessary message to his audience. The minimalist quality of the video in juxtaposition with the classroom setting allows for as an audience to learn without judgement, yet still holds everyone accountable.
Hopsin, in 2009, founded Funk Volumes after departing from Ruthless Records. Since then, the rapper has released four major albums included one in 2015 called "Pound Syndrome". Coming soon from Hopsin is an EP with Travis Barker. With a different, refreshing approach to hip-hop, Hopsin is your man.
