Last night (7-21-16) the Upcoming Hip Hop team (DJ Slice, I.S. Jones, TruthCity, Roy The Savage) and myself hosted The Rap Ritual's second event. This time around we featured three very talented R&B artists; KyngTyler, Oya Noire, & B Morgan. The night started off with a freestyle cypher as usual and it got exciting within minutes. It's always great seeing artists practice their craft in an accepting environment. The open mic portion of the night followed and most of the artists that performed did a great job. KyngTyler was the first of the featured performers to hit the stage. As soon as he did, the crowd got energized and passing out good vibes. Oya Noire hit the stage next and stole the hearts of every guy in the crowd. B Morgan was the final featured artist of the night and he closed the show with a great performance. Last night proved that we are on to something special because people showed up before the doors opened and stayed until we were kicked out. The Rap Ritual was created to give upcoming artists the opportunity to practice their craft. Each event will have an open mic, open cypher, and has featured performers. Our goal is to offer a positive space where artists can practice and network with each other. Let's build a community.
