[Video] "Vine City" - Yani Mo

“And Ima hop on I-20 as soon as you text me/Pray for you so hard that I think you my blessing/”. Yep, anyone who has ever experienced the complicated love of longterm relationships, Yani Mo’s “Vine City” is sure to strike a chord with you. The rap songstress hones her unique, country, sweet, yet sultry flows and melodies to express her fondness of a lover who will soon be a distant lover. “And now you bout to start school in autumn/ Well let’s pretend you ain’t leavin/”. The song is as fun as a summer fling, and as reflective of the end of said fling. Yet as Yani sings “I want you bad, I need you…” it is apparent that she isn’t willing to let the fling go, as she is willing to readjust to it’s new stage.

Yani Mo hails from Atlanta, Georgia. A place once renowned for the innovative Dungeon Family, some would argue that the city’s current flow of music is oversaturated and uninspired. Yani is a throwback to a more organic and creative time in the city’s musical history. “Vine City” is the first visual from her standout project Space and Simplicity Volume 1 produced by ProRow at www.yanimomusic.com
