Harlem, NYC may have changed a lot since it's Renaissance days but there are still no shortage of great minds brewing in the neighborhood. Last night's Acoustic Exchange was a testament to that. Picture people on the floor, sitting on tables, passing around instruments, improvising tunes together as one. The lineup included performances by Steff Reed (who's graduating college with his Bachelor's in a couple days). R.O.E., Jillian Faith and Eric Ellis, and Shay Leonia. Acoustic Exchange isn't about dropping singles or selling promo merch on foldable tables. It's truly a platform to create freely, no matter who's in the room. The theme of last night's AE was "Transformation". I must say, there are few things in this world that inspire transformation more than true music.
