As you know, all of us at Upcoming Hip Hop are huge supporters of KOTA The Friend. Since we are located in New York City, we thought it was only right to bring him in for an interview so our very own I.S. Jones sat down with him to learn about his craft. If you would like an intro to KOTA check out his interview with The Encore Radio Show. KOTA describes himself as "a Brooklyn, NY native creating soulful Hip Hop Toons." which is pretty spot on. He is a true creative in the sense that he makes music (produces and raps) AND shoots videos (directs, films, edits). The things I really like about KOTA The Friend is that he is authentic which is something they talk about in the interview. He has already released a few great tracks this year along with a short film so I am excited to see what's in store for the rest of the year.
