Coming from a small town in Jersey, Stevie Franks is what some would like to call a breathe of fresh air even though he may see it differently. The humble emcee is definitely someone that "real" hip-hop fans should take into consideration. With his outlook of realism on life and current events mixed with precise articulate lyricism he is a forced to be reckoned with. He is a self proclaimed "realist artist". He says that his lyrics are therapy to his fans as well as himself. The video for "Need Be" takes us on a journey where a drug deal goes bad but ends up just being a dream. Throughout the video you get a look inside of Stevie's room and around his house, making you feel at home. The direction of the video fits perfectly with the chill track as well. Dope stuff.
